Discover Kitchen Ministry

Food Services at CrossRoads Church is a bustling ministry. We prepare meals for our ministries, such as Alpha, Celebrate Recovery, and special events. Wedding receptions, funeral lunches and catering for community meetings keeps the oven hot.

Our Café is open on Sunday mornings and for some special events. Lattes, cookies and smoothies are favorite items on the menu.

Occasionally meals are prepared for Sundays, such as special buffets on Easter and Thanksgiving.

Food Services staff are kept very busy and rely heavily on volunteers to make the kitchen run smoothly.

 

On-going Volunteer Needs:

Food Preparation: Jobs such as cutting vegetables, and preparing desserts are typically done the day prior to an event.

ACSS - Assembly, Cooking, Set-up, Serving:  Volunteers are required 2 1/2 hours prior to the event to be sure all essentials are in place.

Clean-up: 1/2 hour prior to the event,(yes, thats true!) clean-up volunteers begin the tasks of washing pots and pans, putting away dishes and doing table clean-up.

Café: Sundays - everything from preparing the Café, setting up and making coffees and smoothies. Trained volunteers are also required for the occasional special event.
