Operation Joshua

Operation Joshua is Hellenic Ministries' effort to facilitate a Bible distribution program throughout the entire nation of Greece. It was birthed out of the desire to see all of Greece canvassed systematically with the Gospel, reaching the hundreds of cities, isolated towns and rural villages for Christ.

Operation Joshua follows two successful Bible distribution projects to the islands. During Operation Gideon in 2004 and 2006 we covered Greece's eighty inhabited islands with 80,000 New Testaments. Since then our vision has expanded to the mainland in the form of Operation Joshua which aims to distribute an initial 1,000,000 New Testaments to the doorstep of each home throughout Greece in the upcoming years.

In faith, Joshua commanded the Israelite people to march forward as the Lord promised He would deliver Jericho and the Promised Land into their hands (Joshua 6:2,7). In faith we are marching out into the land to systematically cover all of mainland Greece with the light of the gospel - by prayer, proclamation and the distribution of God's Word. It's our desire that the Word of God, in Modern Greek, be available in every home and for every Greek.

Operation Joshua 5

We will gather together in Samothrace, Northern Greece and reach out to the prefectures of Evros, Rodopi and Xanthi. We will bring the gospel to 120,000 homes in the regions' 550 villages.

Come join us and share in the blessing as we distribute God's Word throughout the provinces by joining our team on the ground. Together we will tackle this challenge the Lord has set before us as we fellowship, pray and worship the Lord as one body.
